I stood on heaven’s balcony
and watched the deep blue veins
give life to our love of money.
I watched green patches as they inevitably
gave the creatures of corruption breath
only to be disposed of quickly.
I reached for you, tried to take you away,
to stay in my paradise and my arms
for I did not know to whom to pray.
Ruled by undenied temptation
few things are able to last this world
fallen into the claws of condemnation.
In the end the question remains:
Who will remember our yesterday
If tomorrow never comes?
